Eligibility

When you apply for a job, we need to check that you’re suitable for the role and/or eligible to work with us. There are a number of different eligibility considerations that may be relevant for the job you apply for.

Visa requirements

To work with us you must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, a New Zealand citizen or hold a current valid working Visa within Australia. To find out more information about working visas, including how to apply for one, visit the Department of Home Affairs.

Essential requirements and pre-employment checks

Some jobs will have essential requirements and/or pre-employment checks.

Essential requirements are the minimum elements which applicants must hold in order to perform a job – for example, a particular registration, license, certificate or qualification.

Sometimes skills, experience, knowledge or qualifications may be listed as desirable requirements if the panel would like applicants to have these but do not consider them to be essential in order to be able to do the job.

Pre-employment checks, such as police checks, may be required for certain roles due to the nature of the duties and responsibilities.

The job advertisement will clearly indicate if there any specific requirements for the position.
