About Port Arthur Historic Site Management Authority
The Port Arthur Historic Site Management Authority (PAHSMA) is responsible for conserving and maintaining a number of Australia’s most important heritage sites and major tourism operations:
- Port Arthur Historic Site on the Tasman Peninsula
- Coal Mines Historic Site at Saltwater River
- Cascades Female Factory Historic Site in South Hobart.
PAHSMA operates as a Government Business Enterprise and is an outstanding example of how conservation needs and the requirements of tourism can be successfully balanced and managed. Our staffing reflects this diversity and many of the occupations offered at the PAHSMA are unique to the State Service.
Our peak employment season is from October to April. Outside this peak tourism season we still have job vacancies on a regular basis.
